  • Remember to Play Your PART this winter with your tires!¬†Winter in New England can be especially harsh on your vehicle. Your tires can benefit from you playing your PART:

    • P: Check your air pressure early and often. Maintaining proper air inflation is crucial to getting the most out of your tires.
    • A: Proper wheel alignment. Have your alignment checked 1-2 times a year or at the first sign of the vehicle not tracking straight when driving on a straight stretch of road.
    • R: Tire rotations. Regularly rotating your tires will help you achieve more uniform wear. Most tire rotations are every 5,000 – 7,000 miles, unless your vehicle’s owners manual specifies differently.
    • T: Check your tread. A tread depth gauge is an inexpensive and effective tool for measuring the amount of tread left on your tires. If your tread depth is at 2/32″ or lower in depth, the Department of Transportation (DOT) considers this the end of a tire’s useful life and should be replaced.
