  • Are you ready for winter driving? Take a listen to the clip below of Dustin Pedroia and Paul Sullivan discussing driving in the snow! :-)

    01 DRIVING IN SNOW

    Snow & Tires

We have plenty of All-Season and Snow Tires in stock should you be in need. Give us a call at 877-592-TIRE! Take a look at our Top 3 Winter Driving Tips below:

Check Your Tires: Your tires are the only thing keeping your car connected to the road, so you want to make sure that your tires can handle whatever surface changes (snow, ice, slush, etc) you may encounter.

Prepare Your Windshield: Having good wipers is essential to keeping your windshield and visibility clear.  Make sure you’ve topped off your windshield wiper fluid and have an extra bottle of fluid in the car, just in case!

Fill It Up: You’ll go through more gas during the winter season. If the temperatures really drop, you could be at risk for gas line freeze up. Try to keep your tank from dipping below the halfway point throughout the winter.

You can stop by any Sullivan Tire for a free tire inspection and air pressure check, to ensure that you’re ready and prepared for any impending road changes.

Sullivan Tire and Dustin Pedroia’s eight-year relationship began during the 2008 Red Sox season. The current agreement, which runs through 2018, includes his appearance in Sullivan Tire advertising on television, radio, and in print media; it also includes the second baseman making personal appearances at Sullivan Tire functions.

“We are thrilled to have Dustin on our team for another three years,” said Paul Sullivan, Vice President of Sullivan Tire. “His strong work ethic, team spirit and family values represent the Sullivan Tire brand, and as avid Red Sox fans, we admire Dustin’s determination and grit, each and every season.”

“I’ve enjoyed working with Paul and his team at Sullivan Tire,” said Pedroia. “They are community-oriented and hardworking, and I’m happy to be extending my relationship with them.”

Dustin Pedroia took a moment to autograph the banner hanging in the Taunton warehouse as well, which celebrates Sullivan Tire’s 60th year in business.

  • Last week we were in sunny Arizona filming our newest series of TV Commercials with Dustin Pedroia. Hard to believe that this is our 7th year with Dustin! We signed him when he was just a rookie, and we all know that he’s had a lot of success since then. Perhaps we are his lucky charm!

This year, we brought in a very special guest to appear in the commercials with Dustin…Boston Bruins Center Gregory Campbell! We had both players reverse rolls for a day; Dustin provided Gregory with some baseball tips and Gregory showed Dustin how to hit a puck (Yes, Dustin was on the ice!).  We won’t reveal how they did, but you can see for yourself when the commercials begin airing in March.

It sure was a lot of fun making the spots. – We only wish we could have stayed to enjoy the Arizona sun a bit longer!

We’ll be posting more pictures from the shoot on our Facebook page, so be sure to visit us there. We’ve also got a bunch of our commercials, many featuring Dustin Pedroia, on our Youtube channel.

Best of luck to the Bruins on the rest of the season and Good Luck Dustin and the Red Sox in the upcoming season!

  • Customers and employees of our Newton, Watertown and Boston locations had a special guess visit them on Tuesday June 26th.

Red Sox 2nd baseman Dustin Pedroia popped in for a visit and shook hands with excited customers in the waiting room. He graciously posed for pictures and listened to true Red Sox fans share their support for our hometown team.

A customer from the Newton location was thrilled to have the chance to meet Dustin after experiencing unexpected car issues. Paul wrote to us and said “The cost of the repair I needed was somewhat offset by meeting Pedey, PRICELESS!”.  Manager Matt Crane went on to share a little more and said that the customer was a huge sox fan and Pedroia is his favorite player. When the customer was given a ride home he went on to say this was one of the best days he’s had.

All of our employees took a picture with Dustin as well as a store team picture.  Paul Dixon, manager of our Watertown location, was also surprised to see Dustin stop by for a visit. Each one of his employees took pictures with Dustin as well.  After Newton and Watertown, Dustin stopped by our Boston location just down the road from Fenway and shook hands with manager Rich Lobo and the crew.  The visit to each store was met with smiling faces of those happy to wish Dustin well this season. And he was very genuine in his response with a simple thank you and a smile.

When asked how he thought the 3 store visits went, Area Supervisor John Miller just responded “All I can say is thank you. I’m speechless”.

  • Today’s customer comment highlights the thorough work of our Newton, MA technicians. At Sullivan Tire, we pride ourselves with providing our customers with the best; from quality products, to technical skill, and unbeatable customer service. Whenever we hear from our customers letting us know we’ve done just that, it makes our day. So every Wednesday, we’ll be sharing a customer comment that made us proud to be a part of the Sullivan Tire Team.

“Just want to send a compliment to the guys in Newton for a job well done. I had a snow tires changeover done there yesterday. A simple job, right? But over the years no tire shop I have used ever torqued down the lugnuts according to the factory specs and filled my tires with the correct psi consistently across all four tires. Please let them know their good work did not go unnoticed.”

My car was in dire need of an oil change but most places aren’t open when I get out of work or are booked solid. I called [Sullivan Tire Braintree, MA on Common Street] at 2pm on a Saturday as I was driving near the Plaza to see if they had walk-ins. Randy on the phone was very friendly and polite and told me they were busy but to bring it by and they’d try to get it done in an hour. He remembered my name when I dropped it off and not more than 20-30 minutes later he called to tell me it was ready. At $28 the price is great for that quick service and it is right across from the mall which is convenient for getting errands or shopping done while you wait. Highly recommend and I’ll be back.

Dustin Pedroia visited our Braintree, MA Common Street location last year.

  • Sullivan Tire has been serving the community of Leominster for the past 17 years.  Our 162 Main Street location is led by Frank Bieniek, who has a long and successful history with Sullivan Tire.  He began his automotive career 21 years ago as a general service technician and worked his way up to a Master Technician certification.  He gained vast management and customer service skills at other Sullivan Tire locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, including Leominster, before returning to the neighborhood.

“There’s no better feeling than someone coming in and saying, ‘I want Frank to work on my car,’” he says.  Frank has enjoyed catching up with familiar faces back in Leominster, and always looks forward to helping his customers out.  “Being able to solve someone’s issue from start to finish, to take their day from bad to good, is the best part of my job,” says Frank.

And he’s assembled a fantastic team to help him take care of the Leominster community.

    Jessica Wolpert Leominster 2014

Jessica Wolpert has been with Sullivan Tire’s Leominster team for the past three and a half years. Her mother Jane works in Sullivan Tire’s Sudbury location, so she’s well versed in the Sullivan Tire’s family culture.  Like Frank, Jessica’s favorite part of the job is interacting with the customers. “I enjoy getting to know them and talking with them when they come in.”

    Tom Kittler Leominster 2014

Tom Kittler is one of the newer Leominster employees, but he’s got over 30 years of customer service experience under his belt.  “The family orientation, both with the company and the customers, is what sets Sullivan Tire apart,” he says.  “I enjoy getting the customer to trust us, and its great working in the community.” Tom is very active in canine and equine rescue, particularly Luck Horse Equine Rescue, and is a member of the Lions Club.

Out in the bays, Leominster’s techs have a combined 30 years of expertise. Melvin Gualdarrama, Corey Burke, Gregory Kotoch, Alex Krickl, William Tenney, and Herbert Goodale have a great working relationship and get along very well. They learn from each other and share lunch breaks together whenever they can; they’re each other’s mentors and friends.
