“I just wanted to send a note to say how awesome Dan was on ‘live chat’ this morning. I had tons of questions, and he kindly answered each and every one, set up my appointment, the shuttle back to my house…made everything totally seamless. He is really terrific and made what I thought was going to be a miserable experience (I mean really, does anyone love having to buy all new tires?) not just easy, but he also gave me such peace of mind. Now I have an appointment all set up for tires I know will work well for my car and everything was done with a smile. Dan is a great employee – he really made a difference for me. I was already a Sullivan customer (had great service in the store in Gloucester last year!) but wanted you to know you’ve got great people on the chat feature too. THANKS!”

“I had two flat tires yesterday morning and had my car towed to the Rockland location. TJ came out to the parking lot me meet when I got out of the tow truck. He then went over the tires options with me. The tires were eligible for a rebate and TJ took to the time to fill out the paperwork and print an additional receipt for the rebate. It was a great way to end day. TJ should be commended for his customer service.”

  • Shock absorbers and struts are designed to keep the wheels in contact with the road, improving cornering and braking. Though original equipment shocks have improved in recent years, many are ready for replacement in as few as 30,000 miles.

    Shocks and Struts

The lifespan of a strut is about double that of a shock. Most people do not notice the gradual deterioration in ride quality and many shocks and struts are not replaced as often as they should be.

Shocks and struts should be checked every 12,000 miles or when any of these symptoms are noticed:

    • Bouncy or uncomfortable ride
    • excessive body sway when cornering
    • fluid leaks from the shock or strut
    • physical damage to the shock or strut
    • nose dive when braking
    • uneven tire wear
    • tail squat when accelerating

We install top quality Monroe struts and shocks. If you prefer a different brand we would be happy to get them for you. See our suspension experts for a ride control checkup today!

  • It’s time to get in the Halloween spirit! These snacks are cute and so easy to make! Get your Halloween party started with these no-bake treats.

    Halloween Pumpkin

    Ingredients:

    • Oranges
    • Mango sherbet (store bought)
    • Orange sherbet (store bought)
    • Pumpkin carving tools (we used the Pumpkin Masters Pumpkin Carving Kit)

    Directions:

    1. Slice off the tops of the oranges, and scrape out the flesh (save the pulp for fresh orange juice or a smoothie!)
    2. Using the carving tools, have fun creating jack-o’-lantern faces on the outside of the oranges! For inspiration, check out our free pumpkin carving templates.
    3. Break out the sherbet and start scooping. We used one scoop of mango and one scoop of orange.
    4. Replace the top of the orange, and use any excess peels to make a swirl on the lid for decoration.
    5. Serve immediately.

“I want the staff at Sullivan tire to know what a great job Brian Stasiowski is doing. I had a warranty issue with my BFGoodrich tire. Brian inspected my tires and called their customer service several times to solve my problem. This is the kind of customer service that keeps people coming back and is lacking at most places these days.”
